Fundraising

How we pay for the services  and equipment we provide

The financial year of 2019 was a huge year for us at Freedom for Wheels. We fundraised through corporate sponsorships, London Marathon places, Prudential Ride London, the Serpentine Swim, the Superhero challenges and charity organised events and raising nearly £100,000. After five years of hard work building contacts and securing sponsorships this unprecedented amount feels like all our effort is really paying off.

We have stuck with our ethos and continued to use every penny to support disabled individuals to achieve new heights. We used the money to purchase specialist wheelchairs for those who needed them, we funded specialist physiotherapy to assist stroke rehabilitation and also a pioneering surgery for a young lady. All those we helped were successful with recovery improvements way beyond where these individuals were told they would be.

We can’t offer the support we do without the generosity of donations and many of those donors wish to remain anonymous but we thank each and every one of them.

Our fundraising for 2020 was all planned and we were ready to have another successful year. Then we were all hit with the covid pandemic. We used our funds to carry on supporting those in need but this money began to diminish quickly. We are now applying for grants and will hopefully be successful in securing more funds to continue our work.

Help us reach our goals even sooner by donating.
